Comments on: "Minnie copied her dress design for the party, from the Fabulous Resa. She didn’t think she would mind. She said it’s difficult making gowns for chicklets because they’re are a bit short and don’t really have waists." (28)
She looks fabulous, A Resa original, Chirp!
Peep and chirp (thank you). She made it herself, with a little help from her sister. I hope Resa likes it. 🙂
Oh, she did a terrific job…so feminine, I love it. 🙂
She will be thrilled that you thought so. ❤
She will probably blush, she looks so pretty ❤
She said she does blush but you can’t see it because of her feathers.
I have the same problem …no, freckles not feathers.
Holly, you’re gorgeous. This won’t go under the proper post but freckles on you are beautiful, like everything else about you.
😆wonderful wonderful.
Thank you so very much. 🙂 The chicklets love fashion and they love your art, since most of your characters don’t have waists either. 🙂
🤔😂
Indeed!
Also it’s very good to see your cat 🐱
Thank you. Emily has been out and about, getting lots of pets and love, eating and happy to be warmer. Now we are getting 5-7 more inches of snow. So she’ll be snowed in for a bit. It’s so awful. Driving should be fun tomorrow, since the snow is starting now and going until tomorrow night. I’ll be shoveling, trying to keep a path for her to walk on. People are moving out of Chicago because of the weather. That and taxes are the two reasons for the mass exodus. I think we are the number one state with the most people leaving. It’s starting to be terrible living here. Dark and horrible for six months and even our summers aren’t the same as they used to be.
In 1980 I bought a restaurant/boardinghouse 90 miles south of Springfield, I lasted 2-1/2 years before moving back to the Monterey bay in California. In ‘97 I retired early and moved to the wilderness area of n.w. Arizona where, so far, the weather is tolerable. However there aren’t any paved roads for several miles or public utilities or services so it has its challenges. Our thoughts are with you and Emily.
Wow. That’s impressive. I don’t think I could live without utilities. I can’t even imagine it. It’s a whole different way of thinking and surviving. You really do live in the wilderness. I hope you enjoy it, even if it is difficult at times.
Indeed, I’ve been doing it for over 21 years. It was my dream since I was 7 years old.
That is impressive. You followed your dream and it came true. I’m so very happy for you.
When I was seven, my friend Judy and I spent all of our time drawing and designing the inside of the space ship we were going to build to go back to where we came from. We were VERY serious about what we were doing and never doubted that we wouldn’t actually fly away. We did not design anything mechanical, just the interior with lots of bookshelves. 🙂 Then I had heart surgery and my new dream was to do every single thing the doctors told me not to do. I was successful and my dream was fulfilled. I didn’t even die.
I really am happy for you. It’s wonderful to know someone who got what they wanted and lived it.
Ahhh, finally I have time to comment on this gorgeous Chicklets creation!
It looks a lot like LA ESENCIA DE TITANIA. I’ll use it in one of my Art Gowns update posts.
I’m so honoured! xo
They have already started on the Easter Gown. They may need help with this one so it’s possible they will be writing to you. 🙂 They were all so happy you liked the gown. They are sending peeps and many chirps.
Cecilia Lionheart has lots of purple in her, and could be a good one to sort of copy! https://artgowns.com/2015/08/02/cecilia-lionheart/
It’s so beautiful. I just reblogged it.
This was a day I was taking pics of Mademoiselle Emily. No wonder I missed a few posts. Okay, I’m going back up to read your longest short story!
I love Mademoiselle Emily and I think Emily has been strutting since I told her.
Lol! She on the “Cat Walk”! 😀
Absolutely…she said you just gave her an idea to design a Resa gown for one of the cats. Stay tuned.
Ooooh!
I can hardly wait to see what she comes up with.
