Winners of the Best Couple Costume Contest
Flower and Rene are so madly in love that everyone who sees them sighs and smiles. They wanted their costumes to reflect their devotion to each other and yet remain in tune with Halloween. They chose Frankchicklet and Frankenchicklet’s Bride. Everyone was impressed with their spectacular creativity and they won hands down. Mary and Her lamb won Best Individual Costume. The prizes are: 2 loves of corn bread, with extra corn, and a gallon of sherbet. Everyone is thrilled.

The Chicklets are up early…
The line up for the Halloween Parade has begun. Excitement is high. The hens are lining up to watch the chicklets walk by. They have hot chocolate and cake ready for them when the Parade is over. The sun is almost all the way up and everyone is chirping and peeping with joy. The Best Costume Contest will be held late in the after noon and the winners announced at the party later this evening. Happy Halloween!
Stray number 3 and the squirrels (2 photographs)
I am amazed by how well everyone in the yard gets along. Stray Number 3 was watching the squirrels. He was just sitting quietly, not even twitching , when one of the squirrels turned and ran for the fence, almost bumping into the cat. The cat didn’t know what was going on but he never even moved, just watched the squirrel run away. I
