Art and the philosophy of life

About

Everyone told me that a blog should have a theme. I tried to think of something that would tie all of my interests together but…um…nothing came to mind. So mine is a themeless blog. A blog that is simply made up of things that I love, things that interest me or things that I feel strongly about. I’m an artist, a writer, a vegetarian, an animal rights activist and quite a few other things as well. I love books, cats, philosophy, good conversation, Chicago and the arts. So my blog is full of bits and pieces but it’s the bits and pieces that make life interesting to me.

All work on this blog is under copyright and may not be used by anyone, for any purpose, without permission.

  1. This is the first time that I see your blog,Gigi and it looks cool! โค ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. Isn’t it true about how we extract the bits and pieces of life and from it form ours.

    • I think we are life. And sure, we react to everything that happens to us…we react to everything around us all the time and our reactions come from our conditioning/brainwashing, culture, experience and our innate personality, that’s why we all react differently to what’s going on. No one experiences the same thing as anyone else. The things we take, we take because of how they appear to us because of the things I mentioned and that all makes up our world view. At least that’s the way it seems to me. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. We need to be something to survive it all. We are part of tall the bad things that happen and then there are all the bad things that just happen because we are alive to being with…disease, catastrophes and all the rest. Mostly it’s humans who make this world horrible beyond belief…violent, hateful, greedy, miserable species that we are. All the other living beings are being erased by us. We are destroying the planet in the most relentless way but we don’t even slow down. It’s what we are. I’d like to think we all aren’t like that but if we allow it to happen then we are guilty as those who are doing it.

  4. I feel your pain on trying to find a theme. Who needs a niche when we have the whole word at our fingertips?

  5. We must be related. People also told me that my blog should have a theme. I didn’t know how to do that, because my mind wanders all over the place. So I ended up saying that my theme is no theme —so follow at your own risk! Seems that the theme for both of our blogs is a ‘themeless no theme.’ Darn! And I thought I was unique. Aha! Guess not. ๐Ÿ˜€ https://storieswithnobooks.com/preface/

  6. I love the eclectic nature of your blog. Think we may be kindred spirits!

  7. Beautiful and inspiring work. So happy to have found, and be reading you!

  8. The bits and pieces help us along the way. Take care Gigi.

  9. Love the art cartoon (hope I’ve called it what it is). Anyway, your comment that everything is under copyright has me a little confused. Aren’t blog posts automatically protected?

  10. Even though itโ€™s themeless, itโ€™s bold and yet subtle from all angles! โ€œRethinking Lifeโ€ in itself is a theme that canโ€™t just be painted (with words!). You are an artist by yourself and I am very certain your art will blow me out of proportions for my previous statement as you can, and will paint quite a picture! This is just an extremely beautiful inspiration. Thank you so much. You know what a coincidence that am relishing right at this second having read through โ€˜youโ€™ for just a couple minutes (am just being honest here!) – well hold your breath if you want to further listen and have this published… well, dot dot dot… YAY… am a vegetarian too! ๐Ÿ˜‹
On an illuminated note, happy to connect to exchange wisdom thoughts!

  11. It is the moments that make life come alive. Alive, this is how your blog feels to me. Alive with a splash, pause and enjoy yourself. Eljin

  12. ๐Ÿฃi might be late to the game, but you are my kind of blogger. We are definitely likeminded as an artist without a theme, I was brought here by Resa who yearly posts your 12 days of chickmas, as a chicken fan I just had take a gander.

    • Thank you so much. Resa is fabulous and she’s part of the chicklet family. ๐Ÿ™‚ This was a wonderful gift. I’m glad you liked it. Chickens are such lovely beings. Hence the life at The Coop, which has been going for for a few years. Welcome.

  13. Youโ€™ve been found๐Ÿ’ฅ

  14. I may have already told you this, if yes, it bears repeating: I enjoy your site.
    Cheers,
