The grackle wanted to eat the pizza we were putting on the ground, but he was unwilling to put down the twig he was carrying to the nest. After much deliberation he left with the twig.

I went to the Chicago Botanic Garden today. At lunch I was feeding the sparrows and this sweet one looked at me while I was talking to her. You will be seeing more sparrow pictures in the days to come because I love them so much.
