A girl, a dog and a Silverback…

You are so very beautiful.  Big, strong and kind.  I’m sorry for what the humans have done to you and to those you love.  I’m sorry for what they have done to your home. But please believe me when I say that I am not like them.  I will never be like them.  You never have to fear me.  I will never harm you in any way.  I will comfort you, I will protect you.  I will help you.  I will read to you and sing to you and I will hold your hand, with both of mine.  My dog, Toby, is a good dog.  He will be your friend as well.  I will stay with you and care for you and I will take away your pain and suffering for:

I am a child of all good things
a child of love and sweetness
of caring and soft whispers
and I love you

The girl, the lion…and her story.

“Once upon a time, all the people decided to love animals and keep them safe.  They knew that killing and eating animals was wrong.  No one should take a life, or cause harm, or suffering.  And the lions and tigers, mice and bears, were happy and knew that a new way of life was being born.  And the children showed the others how they had been on the wrong path.  They showed them that there was a way to live in harmony, so that all living things could thrive and be happy.  They showed them that Death was not the way to exist.  The children asked the grownups to stop polluting, so that they could breath and be healthy.  They asked them to be kind and stop hurting everyone.  They asked for peace and joy and an end to fear and unhappiness.”

And the lions listened to the girl’s story and accepted her gifts.  When the she was finished reading, she looked at the lions and said:

I will care for you.  I will help and protect you
for I am a child of all good things
a child of love and sweetness
of caring and soft whispers
and I love you

Girl and giraffes…

“I’m not a very good singer, my voice is kind of soft, and there are better story teller than I am but I brought a bear for you and this is my dog, Tippy.  I’m a very good dancer and if you like, I can dance for you.”

The child put the the bear on the ground and started twirling and taking careful steps, then leaping into the air,  Tippy and the giraffes watched her as she spun, a smile on her face, her heart filled with joy.  When she was finished, she bowed to the giraffes and then to Tippy, who barked his approval.  She went to each giraffe and hugged their legs, then walked back to her dog.

“The long wait is over.  There will be no more killing.  I will protect you from harm and watch over you until the Destroyers are forgotten and your dreams are filled, not with fear, but with happiness, for:

I am a child of all good things
a child of love and sweetness
of caring and soft whispers
and I love you.

A boy and the lion cub…

“Sleep well my friend and I shall sing to you, a lullaby of joy and beauty, to brighten your dreams.

May your dreams be filled with wonder
as you race across the plains
may you love sound of thunder
and the drops of clean fresh rain
may you play with all the others
and never feel pain
hatreds gone forever
only peace remains

la la la la la la la

I will watch over you as you sleep, little brother,
for I am a child of all good things
a child of love and sweetness
of caring and soft whispers and
I love you

The child and the rhino…a very short story

“I’m so sorry,” she said.  “For what the humans did to you and to those you loved.  I’m so very, very, sorry.  Let me tell you a story.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful world.  A world
where all living things were loved and respected.  Where all
living things were free.  A world  without violence.  No one
in that world would have taken your horn.  Not ever.  The
only humans on the beautiful world, were children.  Children
who were never taught to be mean and hateful.  Never taught
to be violent or cruel.  They wandered the world, being kind
and helping those who needed help. They made sure that everyone
they met knew how much they loved them.  The children spread joy
through their songs and stories.  They spread beauty and
happiness wherever they went.  Because children who grow
up in a beautiful world…a world without fear and hatred, a
world without violence and cruelty, would never harm
another living being.  Violence, hatred and cruelty are taught.
That’s why there are no adults in this story, my beautiful
friend.  I will stay with you until your tears of sorrow turn
to tears of joy.  I will not leave your side.  I will love and care
for you and tell you stories of brave and beautiful rhinos
who danced across the world.  The hateful adults are gone forever.
We are a new species.  A species of humans who are awake.  We can
see beauty and we are filled with love.  And that is the story of
this new and wonderful world.  I will stand in front of you, or next
to you and you will never be afraid again.  I am a child of all
good things.  A child of love and sweetness, of caring and soft whispers
and I love you.

The small girl stood up and when to the rhino.  She leaned against his face and kissed him gently.  She sent love to him through her whole being.  She sang softly and petted his rough skin.  She hummed and crooned and dried his tears. She celebrated his beauty and thanked him for letting her be part of his life.  The rhino sighed and drifted off to sleep, feeling tiny hands comforting him and knowing that a new world had just been born.
