The Fairy Party was wonderful. Everyone had fun and the food was delicious. One of the fairies decided to stay for a while and is riding in Mickie’s pocket. The chicklets are tired but there is a sleep over in the field tonight, so sleeping bags are being lined up and a bonfire will be lit as soon as it gets dark. Stories will be told and songs will be chirped. No marshmallows, of course, but lots of cake and ice cream will be available. Some of the guests are staying until tomorrow, so the night will be exciting and a wonderful finish to the day’s festivities.
Several of the chicklets camped out last night so they would be at the Fairy party early. Winged ones are just arriving and there is tea and warm chocolate chip cookies for a pre breakfast snacks. It looks as if the day is going to be perfect
The last of the paper butterflies are going up. The party is tomorrow and there is still a lot to do…everyone is busy having fun. Starting Monday, the chicklets will begin to prepare for Mother’s Day.
Kate is getting her final wing fitting for the party. Kate doesn’t like to stand still and Suzie is doing her best not to stick Kate with her pins as she works. And yes, Kate is wearing one of Jillie’s designs.
Vicktoria (her mother does not like the traditional spelling of names) is making sure that the humming birds have enough food. All winged beings are invited to the Fairy Party and it’s her job to take care of the birds. Sometimes the fairies ride the hummers and that is a beautiful sight to see. Fairies and birds work well together and they help each other out all the time. So Vicktoria has been quite busy gathering seeds from the shed and the garden. She wants the birds to have a wonderful time so she is doing her best to make sure they have tasty treats. She found peanuts for the bluejays but she has to keep them hidden until the party or else the squirrels will eat all of them.

The party seems to be moving forward. There is already a committee set up for “wing dying.” Another for painting mushrooms and flowers. It’s going to be quite a small party, tea and corn bread, but everyone is looking forward to seeing the fairy costumes.
