Comments on: "The Gardening Committee is getting ready for summer. I’d say spring but that can be wintery, so I’m saying summer. They are chirping at me because they are too excited to wait. Still. It’s too cold for planting." (35)
your playing support for the rolling pebbles, you better practice…
Everyone is waiting for flowers.
I am just like them, can’t wait!
Color and beauty will be back in our yards and all over the place. π Yay!
I know how they feel!
Sigh. A lot of us do.
π
I can imagine… Any sign of Spring yet?
Yes, I actually saw some greet things peeking out of the earth. I’m so excited about it. π You live where it’s warm all the time, so you probably always have plants and flowers.
It must be very exciting to see life peeking up…
And yes, we have plants and flowers all year long. Which makes it a bit weird calendar-wise. No season. All of a sudden, I look at the trees and I wonder: What month is this? π
It is exciting. We wait all winter for signs of green/life. You’re probably so used to flowers that you don’t realize that others don’t have them. LOL.
I am well aware that others don’t have them. I still have family and friends in France, plus lots of “E-friends” in the US and Canada. So I know…
They hardly get to grow up and winter’s back, so our plants don’t have a lot of time.
Your summer is as short as the Canadians? Or a tad longer?
We can plant after Mother’s Day, and hope for the best. It’s over in September, or October, depending on the how fast winter returns.
Short. C’est la vie…
Oh yes! I shared on my Instagram that I have a daffodil trying its best… We can see the yellow that is still tightly furled but it’s there π And there is almost no snow in my front yard (back yard is not on the sunny side of the street, so to speak, so still lots)
Well, that’s exciting. Hope it opens soon, Some of my hostas are peeking out…just the tips but they are there and thats something I look forward to. π It snowed big beautiful flakes this morning, after raining all night
It’ll surely take a few days but I am watching it π
Big beautiful flakes are lovely, aren’t they? And in March, we know they don’t stick so…
So true. It didn’t stick and then the sun came out and I went for a nice walk…dressed warm. π
I’m blaming you. You’ve hexed me π It’s been snowing non-stop for the last few hours!
Sigh…
LOL We lucked out…it turned to tiny snow, then sleet or hail and then rain, then sun. π Ended up being beautiful. Hope your day turns around too.
Ugh. STILL snowing, dammit. There goes tomorrow’s run.
Maybe it will melt early. The rain is supposed to start again tomorrow around noon. I’m going out in the morning. Barnes and Nobels and Whole Foods for cereal. Hope you get your run in, in spite of the weather.
Yeah, maybe.. it is supposed to start raining then change to a mix of snow and rain… March’s untrustworthiness!
I won’t sweat it.
March is a weird month and can’t ever make up its mind what it is. A transitional month with an attitude.
March is the one that most cannot be trusted. Definitely has attitude!
Petit Γ petit l’oiseau fait son nid… IG? Haven’t gone in ages… (Mental note: go to IG)
Oui, effectivement.
IG…j’y suis assez rΓ©guliΓ¨rement.

I found the Chicklets.
OMG. They have set up a committee… Noooooo! They’re doomed…
They have committees for everything. They are very organized. The Garden Committee will lay out new gardens and care for them all summer. They can’t wait to see all the new flowers.
If it’s only for the sake of organization, it’s ok. (I am a bit wary of committees…)
I feel the same way. But the chicklet committees are fun and equality is key.
