Art and the philosophy of life

Guns, Woman, Spy, Female, Crime, Lady

She walked into the restaurant, guns held high.  Men shouted, some drew their guns.  The man behind the huge round table, surrounded by  his henchmen, looked up, the spoon in his hand dripping with minestrone.  She lowered her arms and blew him away.  She shot his crew, then turned and looked around.  The few people who had drawn their guns lay dead on the floor.

“The Woman’s Movement is turing our tougher members,” said a man, hiding under a table.

“She’s one of the new Guardians,” said the waiter, bending to hand the man his drink.  They take a vow when they’re nine years old, to protect women and children from male violence.  Some of them have been modified, so they don’t need to sleep and they heal quickly.  That way, they can keep going when others can’t. ”

One of the women, stood up and began to clap.  She was smiling and wearing a button that said, Guardian Supporter.   “You,” she said, to the people who were still eating.  “Listen up.  A new day is dawning and women aren’t going to take it any more.  Hurt a woman or child and your finished.  It’s OUR TURN now.  She pulled a gun from the back of her jeans and put it on the table next to her garlic bread.  We are SO SICK of the way you treat us.  Those days are over.  I suggest that all of you men read the Handmaids Tale, but put males in the place of the Handmaids, because that’s where you’ll end up, hanging from the end of ropes, if you do not stop the violence against us.  DO YOU UNDERSTAND?”

Some of the men nodded, a couple of them stayed under the tables and she shot the one’s who looked at her as if he wanted to teach her a lesson.  “If you think I’m kidding, think again.”

The waiter smiled and placed a steaming hot dish of penne pasta with mushrooms in front of her.

“On the house,” he said.

She nodded her thanks.  “You know,” she continued.  “People are often offended and horrified by female violence against men.  That’s the way men have set it up.  Men protect themselves with laws and with the brainwashing that’s done to females from birth.  No one thinks twice about the story on the back page telling of the women beaten to death the night before.  They don’t even mention the ER visits by battered women.  The films and all media are filled with violence against women but that’s considered ENTERTAINMENT!  But women killing men is deemed unacceptable.  How very convenient for them.  Oh sure, superwomen can play heroes in films and shoot the bad guys, but I’m talking about REAL LIFE, where women and children are abused and destroyed on a daily basis. Women are NOT supposed to fight back, or beat, or kill men.  We’re supposed to just sit there and take it, while men get a free pass. No men die in snuff films.  No men are grabbed off the street on the way to the store. No men are afraid to be in their how homes.   You guys just don’t GET IT.  But now, maybe you will.”

Two other women stood up and applauded.  One whistled, another pounded on the table with her shoe.

Another woman stood up and raised her glass.  “To women everywhere.  It’s our turn now.”

The women in the restaurant all stood up and toasted each other.  One of them took a sip, then poured the rest of her drink on the man sitting next to her.  “You touch me one more time and they’ll take you out in a body bag,” she said.  The other women threw bread sticks at him.

“It really is funny how everyone is horrified by women acting out in ways that are normal for men.  I think we need a movie called THE GODMOTHER.”

Another round of applause.

The Guardian walked to a side table where a man was sitting alone.

“For what you have done to your daughter,” she said softly, then shot him between his eyes. “Dead, you can’t hurt anyone else and she doesn’t have to be afraid to go to sleep.”

The women stood on their chairs and yelled their approval.  The Guardian turned, then shot two more men.  “Incest is rape,” she said.  “You murdered the spirit of your children. You force women and children to live in fear.  You don’t deserve to breath.  She shot one more.”

Bodies were starting to cover the floor, as the women all moved to one of the banquet tables and ordered more food.  The Maiden shot a several more men, for their crimes against women and children, then turned to those who were left.

“I should kill all of you, for not supporting women and children.  I should kill you for never speaking out against what other men were doing.  I should kill you, just because I want to, but, you are considered good men.  You love the women and children around you and do not harm them.  But let me tell you,” she said, leaning closer.  “Your silence condemns them to fear and brutality.  If you do not start working to change what other men do, I will come for you.   Do you understand?”

They all nodded.

Her arms once again raised, guns held high, she walked on top of the bodies, deliberately stepping on them, one by one.  She stopped at the table where the women were eating fried onion rings and mozzarella sticks.

“Tell the women who feel that by using violence we are just like men that violence is the ONLY language THEY UNDERSTAND.  Women have been nice long enough and all it has gotten them is beatings, death.  Violence is what men know.  When facing them, you need to speak to them on their level, in their own language..  War, competition, violence.  They’ll understand that.”

As the front door closed behind her, a small woman, wearing a knit suit and ballet slippers, said, “I really like her.”

The other women agreed and  one of them stood on the table and said, “Cannoli’s, for everyone.”

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has urged governments to include the protection of women in their response to the deadly novel coronavirus pandemic.

Reports of domestic violence have surged globally in the wake of massive lockdowns imposed to contain the spread of the disease.

“Violence is not confined to the battlefield,” said Guterres in a statement and video released in multiple languages, days after his call for a worldwide ceasefire in the wake of the outbreak.

“For many women and girls, the threat looms largest where they should be safest. In their own homes,” he said.

  1. I like the Guardian… I think the part that really took the message home for me was when she spoke about speaking on their level. I was caught between “what profits are there in sinking down that far” and “what better way to say it”?

It’s a fine line in knowing how to use a message as a weapon against violence – by using violence. What seemed so violent became a useful vehicle for delivering a powerful message.

    • Thank you so much for that. It’s the truth. You can’t communicate if you can’t speak the same language as those you are trying to reach. It’s not sinking to their level, it’s simply learning their language…the language the can understand. Not understanding that, is what allows the violence against us to continue.

      • Yes exactly! It’s learning the language to convey a higher thought!

      • Yes and to teach in the only way they will be able to understand. We have been conditioned and trained to be prey. Girls are not taught to fight but to be lady like, or submissive, passive, and polite. That makes it easy for men to beat and kill females without punishment or too much trouble, since they are weaker and smaller than they are, and even because they are children. There are no logical consequences for what they do and women have been taught that it’s their fault for what is done to them. They are taught NOT TO TELL. They are not believed it they do tell. Everything works to protect men who rape their own children and beat the women in their lives. It’s sick and disgusting and we need to speak to them in a way that they can understand.

  2. I wouldn’t have connected the two together outright: COVID with domestic violence – but with people being more isolated, it cuts off their usual escapes like groups of friends or work.

  3. You know I LOVE this! If only we were even close to seeing this as a reality. No talking about it, no second chances, you are guilty…you are Done so you can never hurt anyone ever again!!!

    • That’s the way it should be until they stop. It’s the ONLY way to get them to understand. I knew you would like it. 🙂 Definitely. I too wish it was a reality
