I couldn’t agree more. Completely insane.
“Plaintiffs in Monday’s lawsuit, who include rabbis and pastors, argue that the law is blatantly unconstitutional. It violates both binding precedent from the supreme court that has stood for almost half a century and the establishment and free exercise clauses of the first amendment, they claim.”
Um, calling Captain Obvious?
It’s unreal. Honestly, I hardly know what to say anymore.
I know just what you mean.
It’s so hard to believe all this insanity is happening HERE. It’s as if the country has been turned inside out and aliens have taken over and are forcing us to do unthinkable things.
I know. I don’t get how an elected official would think he could get away with deliberately violating the Constitution.
Well, trump already said he wants to change it so he can be in office until he dies. He would change a lot of things and completely ignore the Constitution. No doubt about it. The republicans don’t really care about any laws but their own, in order to gain power and destroy women and minorities.
What happened to the separation of powers that is supposed to provide checks and balances so that one branch of the federal government doesn’t become more powerful than the others?
It seems as if everything is up for grabs and there are no rules left, other than the ones that control the masses.
The abuses of the Supreme Court are particularly egregious.
Definitely. Shameful and deadly.
Can you believe how far this has gone?
I cannot. It’s more insane all the time. Has no one heard of separation of church and state? How can this be legal in any way at all?
We are seeing a disturbing trend toward theocracy in America. It’s chilling.
It’s so hard to believe what’s happeing in this country. I have such a strong feeling that the states will all turn into their own little island, because we are never going to get along.
Some folks do believe we will be tribal. I think we already are.
I agree. Our tribes just look a bit different but we are and I think we will be more so in the future.
It looks that way. Tribes at war.
Exactly, and I can’t even think of a way we could come together.
