The Conversation…

“How much longer?” asked the woman in the back.

“Why?”

“You’re leaning on my head.”

“So?”

“It’s been years. I’m getting a migraine. Please move your arm.”

“I can’t.”

“Why not?”

“We’re  a statue.  We were made this way.”

“You HAVE to be kidding me.”

“I’m not,” she said.  “It’s no fun for me either, you know.  The book weighs a TON.   My legs have been numb since the first week we got here.  My arm is killing me as well and I won’t even tell you how much my neck hurts.  But the thing that’s truly driving me crazy is that I can’t turn the bloody PAGE!”
