Rain…

Rain, Girl, Umbrella, Weather, Wet, Fun

born on a gray
and rainy day
RAIN
loved stormy weather
she adored thunder
lightening
and
rainbows
the smell of wet grass
on dewy mornings
she walked barefoot
through puddles
and only used an
umbrella
when she was forced
to stay dry
it’s not that she didn’t like
sunny moments
it’s just that
she knew
the magic
she needed
came from
the falling rain

We have had so much rain that as soon as it starts we flood…super saturated ground can’t take it…It rains pretty much every single day…right now it’s like dusk and it’s 11 a.m. so dark

IT NEVER STOPS RAINING AND BEING DARK…garden is eating the flamingos and I can’t save them because it’s too bloody wet…it’s always night and no spring or sun in May…don’t move to Chicago unless you’re a mole.

Rain…a poem

Trickle, Cloud, Raindrops, Rainy Day

raindrops
hit
against
the
windows

beautiful
music
to
by
ears
on
this
dark
and
dreary
day

because
it’s
not
the
silence
of
snow
falling

This is the wettest spring since the 1900’s. It seems as if it never stops.

Patio is partially flooded almost al the time.

Rain…poem

Trickle, Cloud, Raindrops, A Rainy Day

and
with
the
rain
and
darkness
comes
a
sense
of
free
floating
melancholy
a
feeling
of
loss
for
something
unknown
leading
to
a
kind
of
longing
and
quiet
despair

but
rain
and
darkness
play
with
us
offering
a
dance
among
the
drops
a
sleepy
cozy
comfort
or
a
profound
sense
of
introspection

the
rain
has
its
own
voice

it
tells
each
of
us
a
different
story

Sometimes, when it rains, we should look up more often…

I think snakes are wonderful.  I love to hold them (they like body heat that’s some of them like to sleep with us).  They’re so beautiful and this gorgeous snake is simply joyful in the rain.

It has been raining at The Coop…

IMG_3018The chicklets don’t mind the rain.  They love playing in puddles and “chirping in the rain.”  It’s difficult for the hens to keep them dry, since wet chicklets are never a good thing, but they let them have a bit of fun before toweling them off.

From the fabulous:  Wordifull Melanie says:

ChiRp, PEep!
❤ Wonderful. I’m singing along with them

“I’m chirping in the rain
Just chirping in the rain
What a glorious feelin’
I’m happy again!”

Thank you Melanie.  ❤
