Margaret and Toby…

Margaret, otherwise known as her fabulousness, was quite the little girl and she knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that her dog Toby was her true, and very real, Fairy Godmother.  Since her parents, along with everyone else, rarely believed anything she said, she kept this important bit of information to herself.  People were always telling her that she had a vivid imagination,  but the thing was, she never made anything up.

After a while Margaret simply stopped talking.  She didn’t see the point.  Everyone laughed at her when she said anything, so she just turned her back on all of them.  She and Toby travelled during the night and whenever they were left home alone.  One evening her parents, never realizing that Margaret hadn’t said a word to them in over a year, realized that she was missing.

While they were looking for her, she and Toby were playing on a beach and running through the surf.  There were children and Fairy Godmothers everywhere. The children were all friendly,  laughing, chatting and building sand castles, as their Fairy Godmothers watched over them.  Everyone smiled and waved at Margaret.

You see, Margaret and Toby had gone to live on the Island of Imaginative Children, a place where children, who live with true magick, can be understood and believed.  A place where no one laughs at them when they say they had lunch in China, or that they saw three bears foraging in a forest after dinner.  The Island is a happy place, a beautiful place…it’s a place where magick runs free for those who can see it.
