Colors…

Orange Red and Green Abstract Painting

colors are so important
in our lives
most of us have favorites
many of us
could name the colors
we feel represent us
I’m orange
yellow orange
not red orange
and certain blues
I also like white
never anything with
purples or mauves
those are the colors
of my bff
if we think about it
we can probably
use colors to describe
everyone we know

color
and lighting
brings
richness
beauty
and
mood
to
those
who
pay
attention

Color…a poem

Girl, Jungle, Line Art, Landscape

because her life
was filled with color
nothing
could ever
dim
her
light

Color…a poem

Watercolor, Portrait Watercolor, Art, Portrait Portrait

she loved color
it was all around her
wherever she looked
color blossomed
into existence
it was
EVERYWHERE
she walked through it
played in it
slept in it
color was drawn to her
like honey bees
to their favorite flowers
she inhaled
and exhaled
reds pinks blues greens
yellow
acqua
and teal
but little by little
it became
more difficult
to see her
until one day
she simply disappeared
and all that remained
was an explosion
of glorious
hues
and a gentle whisper
on the wind

and the rainbows
wept

I think this is a realistic picture of what life around us looks like…we just can’t see it with the eyes we have. That’s why people are so excited when they see color. That’s what makes art important. It shows us what’s going on around us.

Life…

Drops, Movement, Paints, Bubbles

We are simply drops in the bucket of life.  Always stretching and changing shapes, mixing our colors and bumping into each other, over and over again.  When we hit, our colors blend, become something new, and on and on it goes.  The movement doesn’t stop, until life is over.

There’s a rhythm and beat to our motion.  There’s power and energy in that.  Power that we don’t understand because it was stolen from us by those who wish to control us and hold us down.  We need to find our beat and take back our power.

Life and art…

Texture, Abstract, Structure, Color

Life is just like this picture.  We’re all thrown together, pushing and shoving, and looking gorgeous.  Without every color, life would be flat and boring.  All the colors are needed to make true beauty.  We should celebrate our colorful existence and see ourselves for what we are…a gigantic, never static, living, work of ART.
