it wasn’t at all what he had expected
not for a second
it was easy
he just walked through
the gap between the trees
the sun was out
he could smell the grass
the flowers in the field
everything was peaceful
and perfect
he never realized
that death
would be so
beautiful

I think it’s just like that, although instead of flowers I’ll have cats, bunnies, dogs and all kinds of animals.
