So tap water generally isn’t healthy but for years I couldn’t afford the $$ needed to pipe in a filtration system. Finally I got an under the countertop filtration system, which works great at a fraction of the price and I have never looked back. for those in apartments I used to go to a store and buy in bulk using non plastic containers – but that was a hassle.
I have the same system, and I agree. 🙂 Good info. Thank you.
I had a filtration system under my sink at the old house and am definitely putting in another with this kitchen remodel… though honestly, my tap water is fine…
Chicago’s water is supposed to be good as well. Hard as a rock, of course, so we dry up like tobacco leafs. But tap can be purer than bottled.
Ours is pretty hard as well. When we would go up to my mother’s where the water came from a well, our hair turned silky soft… sigh…
My cousin and I were in Hawaii and we couldn’t believe how soft and shiny our hair was. No spots on glasses, etc. We were shocked. When we mentioned it, no one knew what we were talking about. LOLOL
No, people who don’t know what hard water is could never understand the difficulties we deal with!!
I thought all water was like ours and was really surprised to find out it wasn’t.
It’s amazing the differences…
It really is. We were shocked at the difference it made. We never really knew about living with soft water.
🙂
I believe it is! I would not drink tap water!
I think it depends on where you live. Chicago water is “supposed” to be okay. But no one tells the truth anymore, at least it seems like that, so I drink mostly bottled. They say that’s bad for us too. So one just never knows.
