It has been said that the definition of insanity is: is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.

I think the definition of insanity is: spending endless amounts of money and the lives of one generations after another, fixing the problems we constantly create ourselves.

  2. Great twist on the quote. I despair of us ever learning…

    • Me too. Don’t think it’s ever going to happen. Although…no…never mind. Even if there’s a cataclysmic event we would revert back to our old hateful selves as soon as it was over. So I’m with you…we aren’t going to learn anything.

      • That’s my fear post Covid — we should have had a big wake-up call on the way we live, but there’s this rush to get back to the way it was before.

      • That’s so true. Humanity doesn’t seem to ever learn anything. We forge ahead, but make the same mistakes again and again. I feel as if we are definitely going backward right now.
