The guests have arrived and the Chicklet Valentine’s Day Party has officially begun. Clarence was in charge of setting up Holly’s Corn bread treats for an after breakfast snack. Unfortunately, Clarence decided to taste test the corn bread and couldn’t seem to control himself.
When interviewed for The Coop newspaper, he simply chirped, “It was just so delicious, what else could I have done?” Everyone understood his dilemma and a meeting was held where a rule was passed, saying that no one could be in charge of food products alone. At least two beings would have to be present for the set-up.
Everyone felt much better after that. The good news is that Holly made enough corn bread for everyone, so no one will go without a slice, or two.
I love those chicklets. Every last one. I want cornbread now.
Thank you so very much. They have a good time and Holly makes the best corn bread ever. 🙂
I hope I baked enough! Everyone says I did! ❤️
Oh, you definitely baked enough. They’re having some for breakfast tomorrow. They are very grateful, as always. Many wing flaps and peeps to you and Tide.
Tide ate a whole loaf of cornbread. Everyday he’s been barking at 6 and I thought he was playing with me so I would go and look out front and assure him the coast was clear but last night I found out he’s been trying to tell me there’s a dusty little lizard living out there who comes out around them. So we saved him. 💝
That’s amazing. What a cleaver boy. I’m so glad there was a happy ending. Such a good dog. ❤
Yea, it’s really cute. He was trying to tell me something! ❤️
Animals are so intelligent. They try to help us, even thought we’re all rather dense. LOL They probably wonder what’s wrong with us…well, I wonder that as well. I think they’re clever and do the best they can trying to enlighten us.
I’m sure he was totally frustrated a my inability to get “it”. Lol.
I honestly believe they are all frustrated by our inability to understand what they’re saying. I don’t blame them.
Lololol so true!

Clarence isn’t the first to need to lie down after enjoying my cooking. I hope I baked enough. Everyone says I did. ❤️
Thank you Holly. Can’t really thank you enough. Love and hugs.
This was so my fun!!
They do love your treats. 🙂 Thank you. They look forward to your baking, that’s for sure.
❤️🍰
Corn bread sounds very yummy. But the chicklets are always the best! 🙂 Thank you for sharing another funny image, and have a beautiful weekend! Michael
You are very welcome. More to come as the weekend takes off. 🙂
Happy Valentine’s Day dear Gigi! This party is going to be a blast! ❤️
Everyone is looking forward to it, so I hope you’re right. Thank you again. ❤
I’ll bring some red and pink streamers. How bout it?❤️
Brilliant. They would love that. Thank you.
Done and done!🎊
They will be so happy. What a great idea. Thank you and chirp.
I did not know the corn bread was a symbol of Valentine ‘ s Day
ither for your talents of cook, Holly.
Poor chicklet , killed by the fermentation of too much bead in its belly! 🙂
Love ❤
Michel
Holly makes corn bread and treats for all the parties. He’s fine. He was just napping and sleeping off his full tummy.
You are right.
Besides I remember well the corn bread that American soldiers were eating in 1944 . We did not use to make and eat this bread in France. We were happy to eat it.
We only ever eat it with chili sometimes. It’s more of a southern thing, I think. Chicago isn’t big on corn bread that I know of, but the chicklets love it, since it’s full of seeds. 🙂
Corn bread treats! Yummm
They are very excited about story time. I told them the titles of the book you are going to read and believe me…everyone is looking forward to your visit.
that’s great to hear!
Everyone is very excited about the books you’re going to read so they have moved you up to tomorrow. They can’t wait.
I’m glad all ended well–and deliciously!
Thank you. they are getting ready for tomorrow and the big show in the Party Barn. Thank you and they are well fed and having a huge pajama party in the Horse Barn tonight.
LOL. I misread the image at first and thought it said “Holly’s Corn Barn.” Ha! That cracked me up. Wonderfully cute and I’ll bet that corn bread is delish!
They love her treats and she makes them for all the parties. I miss read things as well, which makes it fun to do crossword puzzles. LOL
I so love these chicklets!
Happy Valentine’s Day to all!
Thank you so very much. Tomorrow is the big party. Poetry and all the performances. 🙂
How wonderful! 🙂
What is one to do when surrounded by so much yummy? I completely understand!
It’s so difficult. I can barely walk into the kitchen without wanting chocolate or cookies. I try not to have them and sometimes I throw them away, so I don’t eat them.

Thank you very much. 🙂
YOU ARE WELCOME!
A belated happy Valentine’s day, Gigi. I apologize, I’m terrible at those dates, and it’s been a hectic week. Sorry. Glad the chicklets had a great time.
🙏🏻💕
Thank you. All the days are kind of the same, with the virus and everything, but thank you. I hope you had a lovely day.
We did, thank you. I wish you get your shots soon, so you can see your family again at leisure. 🙏🏻
Working on it. Supposedly everyone (who wants it) will receive their shots by the end of July. I have an appointment for one, but it’s really far away. We’re all doing what we can. 🙂 Thank you. Glad you’re all doing well.
