Sleep…a poem

sleep
and dream
of beautiful things
for soon
the real world
will push it’s way into
your life
and the clouds
will no longer speak to you
and the unicorns
and angels
will be replaced
with video games
and war
as you struggle
to remember
all that was beautiful
before you
came here

Very true. Sometimes I look at our grandkids, 4 going on 5 and 1.5. And I do wish they can stay apart form the ugliness as long as possible…
I also wish you can soon see your family again… Vaccination campaign allowing.

    • That’s so true. But, no matter what we do, we can’t protect them, or stop them, from coming face to face with culture’s reality. No idea when we will get the shots. It’s a mess and it’s almost impossible to trust what’s going on.
