Art and the philosophy of life

Charlene and Jenny are spokeschicklets  They hiked all day and talked to many friends along the way.  They did not come up with an actual cure, but they did find a number of things that might help during the crisis.  Here are their findings::

  1.  Go outside whenever you can.
  2. A frog they spoke to said that people should hop as much as possible and talk to frogs more often and more politely.
  3. Read stories by yourself and read them to others.
  4. Eat plenty of corn bread and ice cream.
  5. As nicely as possible, ask bugs and germs to please not land on you.  Explain to them how they make you sick.
  6. This is very IMPORTANT.  When you go walking bring treats.  But remember…ice cream melts and it’s hard to get it out of backpacks when it does,  So don’t bring ice cream on your hike. Bring seeds, as well as anything else you might like.
  7. Sing and dance.  Flap your wings and listen to the sounds around you.
  8. Don’t get lost.
  9. If you don’t feel good, lay down and go to sleep.  If you don’t feel better call your mother.
  10. Drink a lot of water.
  11. Make sure your nest is comfortable.
  12. Create something wonderful.  Sharpen your crayons.
  13. Always be polite.
  14. Look for moss and see if it knows anything about the virus.  We asked a lot of questions but the moss must have been sleeping, because it didn’t say anything.  We asked several types of moss but none of them would talk to us.  Or, if they did, we couldn’t understand them.  Mosses are very soft so make sure you don’t step on them.
  15. Collect leaves.
  16. Draw pictures of the virus, going from really big to so tiny that they disappear.  Whenever you think about the virus, do that again.
  17. Don’t rub beaks with anyone.
  18. Listen to music that will put the virus to sleep.
  19. Pet your dogs and cats.  Ask them if they know a way to stop what’s happening.

That’s as far as the chicklets have gotten.  They hope the information is helpful.  They did their very best.

There is no lack of information on things to do during the current crisis. Thank you chicklets!

  5. Creatively crafted tips from the chicklets. Would surely try to implement them from now on. Thank you for sharing 🙂

  6. These chicklets are so on the ball… They know the what’s what, that is for sure.

  7. Very helpful and interesting tips. I will bring this list and seeds on my next hike. I have talked to frogs and moss. The frogs answered, but the mosses didn’t. It must have been their nap time. Listening to the whispers of the trees was very comforting. Nature was kind enough to put me to sleep. I didn’t dream of the virus.

  8. What great advice from the chicklets. I’ll definitely not rub beaks with anyone but have been getting out in the fresh air as often as possible. Will definitely talk to the viruses and tell them not to land on me and like the idea of making them smaller and smaller in my mind. What a great post!

  10. This was just too cute not to share.

  11. oh, I loved that. Love the drawings too – and they (the chicklets) are so packed full of wisdom, wit, fun and food….. although maybe the advice of going outside is wishful thinking for most of us – and them. but anyway, it’s GREAT advice, all the same and we wish them much success with their tour of information and wise words. Very much appreciated.

  12. LOL! I know rubbing beaks is out of the question.
J & J want to know if they can access the treats can without mom during this crisis?
    Awaiting the Chicklets’ answer.
