Poetry…

Woman, Face, Girl, Portrait, Forward

I read poetry
written
as soft as the wings of a moth
words that sway
like poppies in a sunny field
I read about
loving touches
and lips that taste
like morning glories
about waves
kissing the shore
and I wonder
about those beautiful words
all written by hands
holding pens
dipped
into heartfelt ink

when all I ever write with
are my very sharp
claws
that have been
dragged through
blood

  2. “pens dipped into heartfelt ink”…so expressive and such a wonderful comparison to the claws and blood!

Red claw writing reads just fine. I use burnt matches, and old eyeliner pencils.
    Neat poem, Gi.

  4. I like that…a fusion of arts. We need a lot more of that.
