What if…

Skull, Cemetery, Genoa, Teeth, Bone, Die

what if death isn’t the end
but the escape route
what if death is the best thing
that could ever happen to us
what if we’ve been taught
to fear or dread
when we should actually
be celebrating
and throwing parties
when it’s near
or when it happens
what if
when we get to the other side
if there IS an “other side”
and wonder why we stayed here
as long as we did

I’m hoping that’s true
so all the beings I loved so much
are having a great time
and eating chocolate cake

while I’m still here
serving time

  1. I certainly hope you are right. “Serving time” is exactly what life feels like on this mudball of a planet. Great write!

    • Sometimes it really does. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

      • By the way, Gigi, I’m in the middle of your first book, Conversations with Death. It is… amazeballs. Such creativity and insight! Death has taken many, many people from me also, and your book really helps. I will def leave a review on amazon. Thank you for writing it!

      • I can’t thank you enough for those kind words. Really. You just made my day. There is a book 2 and I was finished with the third, and final book, but it disappeared from my computer. I never rewrote it. I have no idea what happened. Thank you again for you generosity and for writing a review. I’m very grateful but more importantly, I’m so happy it’s helping you. That’s the most wonderful thing of all. That’s why I wrote it. Thank you for that. I’m also sorry you’ve lost so many people as well. It’s difficult, that’s for sure.

    Sounds good. Could be!

  3. I’m loving it already. The chicklets said they would learn to tango if you want them to.

    A sobering thought! what if!
