Sisters Allison and Meeka are working on the stage for next weekend’s poetry reading…

Everything seems to be in order.  There’s a tall microphone for Holly, Reasa and maybe Melanie, and a short one for everyone else.  Ten chicklets are set to read one or two poems each, so it should be fun.

The food is going to be wonderful and everyone at The Coop is curious about the humans.  Resa and Holly are dressing up, for the event.  The Costume Committee is very excited about that.  They have a lot of questions about sewing.

  1. I’m getting so nervous , I hope my poem is ok and my outfit fits in…. I always get so tongue tied too.

  2. Reblogged this on House of Heart and commented:
    I hope I don’t get all shy like I always do….

    It’s going to be tremendous

Okay, with the whole “Egg” interpretive dance thing happening, I’ve been honing my outfit. Is black to harsh, I mean are there ever black eggs like black sheep?
I was thinking of the back being all black…. long sleeve t-shirt and tights & pink ballet practice slippers. However, the fronts would be hand painted in a few blues … for the sky. The colourful popcorn necklaces would look like the welcoming feeling of leis. (natural colouring will be used)
So, I make the egg shape, crouching on the floor. I’m a black egg. Then, as I hatch & rise.. the colourful front, the innocence, will be revealed.

Where do I buy tickets? Wouldn’t miss a Chicklet production for the world. 🤩✨

Will this actually be live? I thought it was virtual. Wow. (Either way) enjoy. Hope i’m not late. I have a visit so that sort of eats up my time. 😉

  7. I’ve been popping around your blog and like your poetry though I have very little knowledge of poetry. ;( Yours feels so happy. I hope all went well for you on this occasion. I’d be scared to speak to an audience as well. 🙂

    • I don’t know anything about poetry. Really, I just write things down. I’m so happy you’ve been looking around. I appreciate that very much. Thank you. As for me…I’m not afraid to speak in front of people and have done it a lot. But some of the chicklets are young and are just starting out. They’ll get the hang of it. 🙂 Thank you again.
