One of the scariest moments of my life was in a cab on Lower Wacker Dr. I was having flashbacks to Princess Diana’s wreck. 😳
Oh, no. Lower Wacker is dangerous anytime. I haven’t been down there in a LONG time and have no intention of doing so in the foreseeable future. We made national new, I guess. Our Mayor isn’t running again. Al the murders. Someone told me there were 43 in one week end. Only 4 this last week and I think 14 a few weeks ago but I’m not sure. It’s getting bad. Insane, actually. I don’t know if the figures are correct, my friend just gave them to me and I’m not sure if she knows the details. Either way, he’s stepping down because he can’t stop the killing. I don’t even know what to say.
That’s absolutely crazy! What prompted it all? Drug trade? Gangs?
Gangs are a big part of it, according to the press, but I imagine anger, rage and frustration are part of it, as well. The only way to know for sure is to ask the people doing the killing. Otherwise we’re all just guessing.
True. Just seems odd that it’s increased so dramatically recently, it seems. 😕
I’d say it’s because it’s summer but you’re right, it is a lot worse. I really do think that with the violent moron in the white house, our society is breaking down. The rules are changing and he encourages the worst in everyone.
Couldn’t agree more. 😕
Oh, I just love this photo. Art in progress, becoming art in and of itself.
I like it too. That blogger’s shoots a lot of pictures in Chicago. And yes, art in progress, becoming art in and of itself. Great way of putting it.
