it has come to be…

Email, Business, Smartphone, Screen

Our lives are in a phone.  More and more personal contact has become messages typed on a tiny device we hold in our hand.  No need to read body language, or to speak, instead we send, 🙂 to show our feelings.  We are giving away part of what makes us human, to a tiny machine.  People are taking classes on how to talk to others.  Scary stuff.

When AI’s are released on the public, most people will welcome them with open arms.  In a short time bots will take the place of friends, no drama, no problems, rejection or emotion.  What will we be then?  More machine than the machines?

Aye! Or less human than humans..

Perhaps we should all begin to memorize a book of our choice, now?

    • It’s actually taking a toll on our memory. No one remembers phone numbers, they just push a button. We can look anything up on google and our memories are going soft. We need to memorize something, that’s for sure.

Indeed, the glimmer of technology has blinded us to the sensuality of simple living and will leave us in the hollows of discontent. The essence of Taoism can be said in three words, “Diminish, diminish, diminish”, because through elimination comes joy.

    • The Tao is the only thing that makes sense. It has no hierarchy, no collection plate, places to meet, rules to enforce, hatred to spread, along with greed and power mongering. It just kind of says, “Hey, you might want to look at this and decide for yourself.” Love it. The edition by Stephen Mitchell is the best one, in my opinion. 🙂 And yes, we are being purposely divided by electronics, detached, and out of touch. Makes it easier for the men in power to manipulate us even more.
