Obviously I took this through the car window (from the passenger side), so it’s not fabulous but it’s still fun.

Joseph Smith…30

“How can you just LAY there?” shouted Jade.  “WAKE UP SMITH.  DO SOMETHING!”

“His body is trying to survive,” said Seven calmly.

“I’m tired of WAITING.  DO YOU HEAR ME SMITH?  GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR AND STOP FOOLING AROUND!”

“You aren’t helping,” Seven said, standing in front of her.

“How do you know?”

“I’m monitoring him and you just make his heart beat…”

“Faster?”

“Yes.”

“Is that a BAD thing?”

Seven stared at her.  “I’m not sure.”

“It means that THE LAZY MORON CAN HEAR ME!” she shouted at Smith.

“What is wrong with you?”

“With me?” she asked, startled.  “Nothing, why?”

“You’re so…”

“So…what?  I’m so, what?”

“Angry.”

“And?”

“Why?”

“Seriously?”

“Yes, seriously.”

“Make him wake up.”

“He’s not in an induced coma.  Not exactly.  I don’t think waking up will benefit him in anyway at all.”

“You are a stubborn bot, you know that, don’t you?”

“You have brought that to my attention once or twice.”

She started pacing around Smith’s bed.  “I’m not good at this.”

“I never would have guessed.”

Suddenly Jade started laughing.  “That was really funny,” she gasped.

“Why?”

She waved her hand at him and doubled over.  Then she took a deep breath and wiped her eyes.  “Because it’s a lie within a truth and that’s just…funny.”

“Can you keep it down, I’m trying to sleep,” whispered Smith.

Jade jumped on top of him.  “What TOOK YOU SO LONG?”

Seven grabbed her and lifted her off of Smith.  “Stop that.  You’ll start the bleeding again.”

“You males are all alike.  Weak and…and…I don’t know…maley.”

feel good,” muttered Smith.  “Now.”

“Seven picked up a suringe and stuck the needle into Smith’s thigh.”

“Wow, addict it is.”

“It will help him heal,” said Seven.

“Hey,” she said, poking Smith.  “When are you planning on getting off your back and onto your feet.  We have things to do, you know. A little bullet next to your heart and you’d think something bad happened.  One to the lung?  Big deal.  I’ve had worse just cleaning my knives.”

He smiled at her.  “I heard what you said.”

“When?”

“You remembered and you want to do it again.”

That’s what you remember?  Out of all the things I said to you…THAT’S what stuck in your head?”

He nodded.

She turned to Seven.  “I haven’t killed anyone in two days,” she said. “I’m a little tense.  If there’s no one left to destroy, what will I do?”

“You can work with Lee and the others.”

“No, really.  What will I DO?”

“I have a few ideas,” chuckled Smith, who then fell into oblivion, once again.

Today is: WORLD WISH DAY…so make a wish and send it out to the universe.

Okay, so…

Have you ever meet people who are just too “good?”  Too nice?  Those people who want to forgive everyone?  Those people who make your skin tingle and the hair on the back of your neck stand up?  The ones who make fight or flight rush through your body, as they smile at you?  So strange and so soft spoken.  Words fall from their lips about loving their neighbors and while they’re talking, you’re wondering how many bodies are buried under their driveways?

Have you ever meet people like that?  I was just wondering.  I think I’d rather have someone with horns and a tail standing in front of me because at least I’d know what I was up against.  Those other people just creep me out and I keep wondering what’s going to crawl out of their fake smiling faces.  Hey, it could happen. The guy with the tail might just be lost, the scary people live here.

Sleep…

when
I
lay
me
down
to
sleep
I’m
not
sure
there’s
a
soul
to
keep
but
if
there
is
I’ll
give
a
nod
and
not
to
any
made
up
god
I’ll
grab
a
star
that’s
shining
bright
and
then
turn
gently
toward
its
light

or
else
I’ll
spread
my
wings
and
fly
and
wave
at
those
who
pass
me
by

and
if
I
die
and
never
wake
I’ve
had
my
double
fudge
dark
cake

and
life
was
good

Okay, so…

I just watched another episode of the PBS special on Civilization.  The idea was that civilization would/could not exist without war and violence.  Those things, apparently cause us to move forward, over the dead bodies.  It all started when the first tiny band of people decided to settled down and stop roaming the earth.  As soon as they planted a seed they had to protect their land and resources from others.   That’s when the games began and those games continue to this moment.

So, according to the experts, life/civilization is about war, violence and death, and we’re in in for the long haul.   I think it’s funny that in all these gazillion years we can’t do anything new.  LOL  Talk about being in a RUT of epic proportion.  Same old same old.  Boring and so incredible stupid. We can build phones that are smarter than most people and we can’t actually change the way we live, or think, or move forward.  We NEVER learn. Actually we like what we do and that’s the actually truth.  The archeologists, think war is the only way to go and didn’t seem upset about any of it because after all, what are a few billion dead people?  They were upset by the dead babies who were sacrificed and buried with the King, however.  They also said that today, sports and competition in business, etc., is part of the same thing…competition, winning, warring and well, you know, more of the same.  They talked about allies…towns joining together to protect their stuff…since someone always wants to take what others have.  Sigh.

They always show pyramids, worn and falling down ruins (that’s what ruins ARE, of course), and then tell how the town, village, whatever, was overrun by other guys with better weapons.  They mentioned America and as modern version of this.  Who can argue with that?  We do, after all, have all the guns, take whatever we want and pretty much bully everyone else, especially NOW.

It’s all about taking what you want.  That’s seems to be the true meaning of life.  TAKING WHAT YOU WANT.  Twenty-five hundred years ago someone decided to sit down and stay in one place and this is what it led to.  How amazing is that?  The six people in the tribe should have kept moving and then we’d all be wandering around bumping into each other.  Once they decided they could grow their own food and not forage, men started sharpening their spears.

None of the women were fighting, they were grinding things on rocks while the guys were painting stripes down their faces and acting as if they were acting out a strange fraternity Hell Night.  Screaming, pumping themselves up to kill, or be killed, flailing around and generally looking like King Kong on speed.  I don’t know what to tell you.  It just all seems so silly and unproductive but…we do have multiplexes and Amazon and on line dating and take out.  We have cars, and skyscrapers and planes, so I guess it’s okay that people die so we can have stuff, right? Because we all know that stuff is way more important than life and that killing for things is the way to keep civilization moving forward.  Cuz no one ever thought of just talking things over and trying to come to a compromise.  I mean why do that when you can just bomb a city and kill everyone, right?  The people who die are just regular folks going about their business, while the guys in the towers who plot, grab, and start the wars, have bunkers and underground, fully stocked places to live.

The real definition of insanity is:  humanity.
