“I bet that’s Jack,” said Tim, staring at the dead body. “We don’t look anything alike.”
“Maybe a little around the mouth,” said Ace, pushing Jack with her toe. “That’s the third agent in a month.”
“Is that a lot?”
“Yes, it’s a lot,” she hissed.
“Just asking, since I don’t know what the normal monthly number of dead agents is,” he said softly. “Well, we found Jack. Now what do we do?”
Twenty minutes later the Clean Up Crew was gone and everything smelled like pine trees.
“You seem to attract men who are rather bloody, you know that, don’t you?”
