Reblogged this on House of Heart and commented:
    Take me away!

    • Thank you. I agree…take me away.

      • Heartafire says:

I could use a week in paris! lol. really!

      • I would like to stay for a month. I think that’s the right amount of time to see the things I still want to see and to just continue to walk around and enjoy being there…well and eat eclairs, of course. And brownies and, well, you know where this is going:)

Can you imagine, I would love to visit the Louvre again, when I was there I went to the Folies Bergère , and Napoleons tomb, of course the tower, if I get back I will definitely hit the patisseries. I did that in Brussels, the best pastries and chocolate you can imagine! ahhh, the memories. sweet.

      • It’s all so wonderful. I have a love lock on the bridge but they are causing so much damage in so many ways. They have them covered (as you probably noticed) but people won’t stop. All the keys thrown in the water are polluting everything as well as the damage to the bridges. They have taken the locks off and they are back the next day. They will probably have to remove the beautiful iron work and use flat things instead. All because of a novel where the woman did that. LOL Caught on overnight.

      • Heartafire says:

No, I didn’t know about that, that’s really something, not good, but the thought is sweet.

      • It’s been going on for some time. They are trying to stop it.

      • Heartafire says:

they really need to. It’s too beautiful to destroy

      • They can’t. They have tried everything and people won’t stop. They have boarded up the bridges and people are putting them over the sides and down the rails. The sides have actually fallen into the water and it’s just a mess. Plus it has taken off and is worldwide now. People are doing it everywhere. And, when I was there in April, guys were selling locks ON the brides.

      • Heartafire says:

unreal! Do they have it posted?

      • Everyone knows about it. They have covered them up. I’ll post a picture for you:)

      • Heartafire says:

that’s just stupid and irresponsible and good example of how , esp. the young, don’t appreciate preserving history and protecting history. eww, grr.

      • The weird thing is that it has a life of it’s own. It’s so “romantic,” and important to people that it has brought everyone together, all over the world. The locks are for lovers, anniversaries, children, birthdays, to celebrate just about anything. I put the pictures up for ou to see. before they were boarded up and after. People really want this and that’s why it can’t be stopped. When people really want things they are unstoppable and that’s what I want them to do about violence against women, but sadly, love locks seem important and violence against women, not so much.

      • Heartafire says:

yes, it would be lovely to be there for a month!

      • I want to do that. Definitely. I want to go back in April again but my cousin is chickening out because of the violence. Duh. We live in CHICAGO. I’m not afraid at all. I’m going to work on her.

      • Heartafire says:

it will be a long time before I get back there, if ever, I really long to go there though.

      • You’ll get there eventually. 🙂
