Art and the philosophy of life

Rubber stamps

I always talk to birds and trees, any animal I see, really.  I say hello and tell them they are beautiful and that I appreciate them.  With trees, when I hug them, I tell them to take what they need from me and to please pass along their strength and resilience to me.  We exchange energy and blend.  That makes sense to me since we are all made out of the same stuff, just put together differently.

  1. You’re amazing

    • I think the world would be a better place if people did that all the time, don’t you agree? I mean I think everything can understand our intention, if not our words. And it never hurts to be gracious and polite to everything. 🙂

      • I talk to my garden, so far I have not hug a tree, but I don’t have a problem with that! hugs! 🙂

  2. I hug mine but they are huge so I can only reach so far:)

I always speak to the roos and birds when I’m outside. 🙂

    • Never doubted that for a moment:) They know you, I’m sure. That’s why they pose for you when you have your camera pointed at them. They probably think you’re cute…or one of them.

They do get used to you, although I don’t want to get too close. The birds are different, some of them let you get a couple of feet away. It’s definitely my cuteness. 🙂

      • What see could it be but your cuteness. I don’t blame you for not wanting to get too close. I can only imagine what would happen if they got upset and went after you. Cute or not…I don’t think you would win.

You tend to come off second best after being attacked by a Roo. They can gut you with those big toes of theirs. Cute has helped in other ways though. 😉

      • Wow, no getting too close then, that’s for sure. And yes, I can imagine cute has helped in other ways.

Yes, respectful distances are kept. One of the King Parrots had a big complaining session this morning. He’d been chased from one feeder and flew to the one where I was standing, and perched on the rim. I was about a foot away and he carried
on about the other birds. So I said, ‘Look Matey you’ve got this whole feeder to yourself.” He cocked his head, give me a funny look and hooked into the seed. Oh yes, cute has definitely helped. 😉

      • LOL He just wanted to complain to someone. I’m sure he was happy you were willing to listen. Shocking that a parrot is outside and eating from a feeder. You would really hate it here. 🙂

They do a great job of complaining, that’s when they aren’t fighting with the other bird. I don’t know if I would. 🙂

This is one of the many things I love about Gigi other then she is one of my closest friends that no matter what happens in her life she is always kind and loving and lifts up, gets behind those she loves. I love that she speaks to trees, birds and flowers. If you could see her yard and home, and I have I can tell you her surroundings are listening because they are full of life and vibrant colors. I believe in speaking goodness and kindness and am so thankful for her! I love this Bling!
