here’s the thing. So many people have said to me, “if only s/he would do this, or be that, or stop/start doing something,” and I always say the same thing, “why don’t you change and be more like her/him?” People usually just stare at me because it never occurs to them that other people would like THEM to change as well. Apparently we all feel that we are okay the way we are but everyone else could use improvement/change. LOLOLOL The things that drives us crazy about others often works in reverse for them and we drive them crazy too. Everyone wants her or his own way.
If we read, it does’t mean we can’t get someone else to read anymore than someone could get us to stop reading. No matter how many reasons you give to support your position, the other person has just as many. The thing is…we can’t be anyone but who we are and that should be okay. No one should have to change to fit into anyone else’s life. If you can’t stand the habits of a person, move on and let the person be who s/he is someplace else. Because believe me, people would like all of us to be different for them. It doesn’t make any sense at all, when you think about it. We all have different wants and needs and we have to find the person, or people who are already like that. We don’t have the right to redesign anyone to our specifications. And, when you think about it, we always want what we want, never stopping to think that other people wish we would change because they don’t like the way we are either, so it’s all just so silly. And yet…I never stop hearing people talk about how they wish someone else was different…while they never offer to change for the person they are talking about. Hey, I’m just sayin’.
