Art and the philosophy of life

Okay, this is weird…

I was going through all of your fabulous posts and went to move to the next one but I couldn’t move down.  The words across the bottom read:  “There are no more posts for you to look at.”  How is that possible?  I tried several times, even shut down but all the posts after a certain one, are unavailable??????? Has this ever happened to any of you?

  1. yes! stupid reader…. it happens when I try to catch up after a day or two.

    • I can’t even get through today’s posts. Just a few on there and then it stops. I’ve never had that happen before. Oh well. Can’t go back, as you said, to see some from yesterday. I’m hoping it will just go away. 🙂 Yeah right.

  2. The reader only holds so many posts. I often have to go into individual blogs and peruse if I’m seriously catching up from more than a day or so 😉

    • So, no want to get today’s posts, let alone yesterday’s? Sigh. Thank you for letting me know.

      • it does rather stink 😦 Most weekends I miss alot of posts, and have just started going to ind blogs because theres really nothing else I can do, but when you follow so many…its hard 😦

      • Exactly. When you follow a lot of blogs, it’s very difficult. So many times people are dropped from my list altogether. I don’t hear from them so I go looking and they are gone from my Reader completely. I can’t remember all of the names of the blogs so I have to wait unit they get in touch or go through my old posts and look in the “comment” section. When I find them, it tells me that I’m not following them…when I am. Oh well. It’s not perfect, that’s for sure. 🙂

I have the same problem some times and then other times it seams to go on forever. Go figure. Jim

    • Mine always goes on forever. I can look up yesterday’s posts to see the answers to what I’ve written. But today, I can only get a few. I wonder if it will self correct and let me see the rest of today’s posts? Well, at least it’s not just me and it’s just WP. Thank you for letting me know.

I got that this morning too. I’ll bet WP is updating something that will drive us nuts as soon as it’s live.

    • I’m sure you’re right. I know I didn’t get all of today’s posts, that’s for sure. And now we have no access to yesterday’s posts as well. Nothing we can do about it. It’s HOT AND HUMID around here. I’m sure you’re getting it as well.

It is so hot I may not be able to take the sewing room. I have air in the bedroom and Ben has it in his and we have the air downstairs but my two other upstairs rooms ……….. hot. I’m thinking about getting a portable air conditioner ……..

      • Good idea. I just don’t like roasting anymore. I love air conditioning. I can sleep at night and that’s a huge plus. Fans just don’t do it and they do nothing at all to reduce the humidity.

  5. I get that all the time!

  6. Yes, its been doing that for a while. I have difficulty catching up after being away from blogging. I have to make lists – on paper – of writers I know I need to properly catch up with, then if I see they’ve posted something in the reader, I click on their username and it takes me to a list of only their recent posts – hope that helps.

I’ve had it happen a time or two. In my case, it seemed to “unlock” after some time had passed. Likely some WP glitch. Good luck!

  8. yes, it is summertime and bloggers are away on holiday etc.. Come the winter things will change. eve

    • It’s a systems problem, not a blogger problem. The Reader just stops and won’t let you see the rest of the posts. As you can see, a lot of us have experienced this glitch. Hopefully, it will just go away by itself:)

  9. This just happened to me as well…

  10. Yes Bling it’s so annoying because you know there are more posts!

    • Yes, there are and you can’t get back to the ones from yesterday either. Oh well, one more glitch in the program. No big deal but I know I’ve missed a lot of people today. 🙂 Thank you, Bling:)

    • Thanks for letting me know. As you can see, this must be a pretty common occurrence. I’m sorry I missed a lot of people today but it can’t be helped:) Thanks again:)

  11. Yes…i rarely use the reader it is sooo glitchy but i did look there last night and it show one post. ONE!! for everyone i follow? Yeah the Reader is buggy.

I’m glad i get the email notifications (too much email,,,really) but i can’t rely on the Reader.

  12. oh and last night when i was posting my dashboard was in a different language for a few minutes and it kept giving me error messages when i went to Laurie’s blog. It worked itself out but still…annoying.

    • It is annoying and how do you fix things like that…you can’t. Laurie said he was having trouble as well. A different language…OMG then you really don’t know what’s going on:0 I wonder if they are playing with something and getting ready to change something…again. Oh well. We can only do the best we can do:)

  13. This happens to me from time to time. And I do what Morgan suggests – go into individual blogs. I am going to have to do this soon, I think. Been off of my reader most of the past few days – dang life. Keeps getting in the way;)

    • I know what you mean. I’ve been super busy and I’m out all the time lately. I need to catch up on some artwork, that’s for sure. Way behind. But today I did stay in and cleaned out my closet and the closet in the foyer. Took ALL DAY into the night but it’s done. Got rid of things I never wear and kept a few things that I will still never wear but wasn’t ready to part with at the moment (that may change). I don’t have a bunny but I could have made a small one with the dust bunnies on the floor of the foyer closet.

  14. that no matter how many times i refresh or reboot the system the message just won’t change ;{

I’ve been having trouble with posting comments all morning. wordpress may be going through a mid life crisis or something. 😦

  16. It’s happened to me here & there. I think it’s random.

  17. happened to me this morning too, but seems to have righted itself later in the day –

  18. Yes, it’s infuriating. I just went through my reader three times, each time, I got bounced back to the top and all the like were gone. Argh!! At least comments don’t disappear.

    • I have had that happen as well. The “likes” are gone and sometimes three or four blog posts just keep repeating themselves and I can’t get past them. I just go to back to my blog or somewhere else and when I return to my Reader, the problem is usually gone but the “likes” don’t come back.

      • IKR?! I’ve started visiting people and trying to catch up, but wow is it time consuming and I don’t have links unless they left me a comment or they are in my reader. I was happy to smile over all your chicks. I found you in the reader, so at least I got that much out of it. LOL

  19. I have the same problem. And once you’re behind…OMG…So hard to catch up. And when the Reader drops someone, I don’t realize it right away and I don’t know the actual name of the blog. I just wait until I see them on my blog and then check to see if we are still connected. Time consuming for sure…confusing as well.
