the night…

is
bitter
cold
like
frozen
glass
brittle
and
sharp
the
wind
tears
at
my
face
and
clothes
pulling
and
pushing
grabbing
for
me
as
I
walk
curled
up
in
myself
while
the
darkness
laughs
and
plays
games
with
one
more
puny
human

  1. Nature does toy with us. Things are brittle until a little sun comes. My water pipes froze. Adds a secondary experience to the wind and cold, but all is back up and running.

    • I’m happy you got things back to order. I hope it warms up for you soon. I don’t think the sun is going to do us much good. Tomorrow morning, according to the weather people, is going to be “treacherous.” Snow and cold. The deep freeze isn’t going to end soon and even though it’s 16 degrees right now the wind has been fierce. It’s not even winter yet and we are getting weather that we shouldn’t get for some time. Oh well, life goes on, right? 🙂 Stay warm and cozy.
