  1. You are rocking! We the people, by the people, for all people. yup. that works for me. Go you!x

  2. We need local people gathering together to run their neighborhoods and meet with others who are doing the same thing. We need to support local artists, farmers, etc. We need to get back to basics and most of all we need to stop letting OTHER PEOPLE DECIDE HOW WE WILL LIVE! Thank you and let’s all rock together and change the country!

    Let’s start now!!

  4. Works for me. I also think that the only way to get done is to form groups who are like minded otherwise you spend all your time arguing and trying to please everyone. the only way to get anything accomplished is to work together. People who disagree with your plans will hold you back and need to form groups of their own to work NOT against you but for something positive that they can do in their own way.

  5. The problem is finding like minded people…and like minded people who are willing to ACT and stand by their convictions. Unfortuanetly people say one thing and then do another…I think we are all guilty to one degree or another. But people who for instance say “Chick-fil-A is against gay marriage, how dare they!” “They will never have my bsiness again!” and then 2 days later you see them chowing down on Chick-fil-A. If you bother to ask what happened to their convictions you get “Well, it was convenient…” or “But it is so good!”
    BLAH!!!

Sheeple are comfortable being sheeple. Until something truly makes them uncomfortable they will not break away from the flock.

  6. That is exactly right. That’s why I have no hope:( Happens all the time. Everything you said is the truth and that’s why nothing is going to change. I taught the kids that they could never count on anyone…”always be prepared to stand alone, because people do not follow through.” Oh well, at least we talked about it. 🙂 Is is what it is. So many issues. Migrant workers need decent working conditions and housing. Just goes on and on. Never gunna change until people are destitute or pissed off enough to do something. A lot of people will die at that time but some people might make it. A lot of people don’t like it when they can’t feed their kids and they don’t have a place to live.

  7. I agree with you that nothing is going to change “until people are destitute or pissed off enough to do something”. It is the people with nothing to lose who are not afraid of change. Everyone else is too busy trying to hold on to what they already have.

  8. That and those who are doing okay or well just close their eyes and pretend that nothing will touch them.

  9. […] **And as a response/companion piece of sorts to Gigi of Rethinking Life’s post here […]
